In a highland region in Provence, Luberon, this French farmhouse spreads around 136 acres with farm animals prowling the grounds, planet tress, wild grasses, and olive trees.

Ten years ago, the legend Alexandre Lafourcade remodeled the entire home, bringing it to the 21st century. However, the landlords wanted to change the house because of the different pandemic lockdowns. For that, they contacted the Paris-based interior designer Diego Delgado- Elias.

Delgado followed the client’s advice on adding more materials bur with less color to start the renovation. The designer covered the walls in a rough plaster finish, and the 10 centimeters baseboards were replaced; Changes like that gave more beauty to the French farmhouse.

To connect the rooms, Delgado chose to look for local artisans working with materials like wicker and rattan. In the living room, we can see the provincial wicker and the rattan masters. Atelier Vime designed the curtains while Editions Midi made the armchairs. The vintage marble cocktail table is by Angelo Mangiarotti, and the custom sofa is by Pierre Frey fabric.

FRENCH FARMHOUSE OUTDOOR

This project was where the designer could put his ideas into practice. Some experiences with the lighting became lamps, chandeliers, and sconces all around the house.

When it came to the outdoor of the French farmhouse, Delgado hired the landscaper Gianmatteo Malchiodi. The two together achieve a relaxed sense of nature throughout the house.
